As you'll see from the info on our site, Dorking & Mole Valley Athletics Club (DMVAC for short) is a small, friendly running club based in Dorking where we can take full advantage of all the running opportunities that the Surrey Hills offer us.
DMVAC is a very inclusive club, catering for all ages with an active Junior section (Year 5 and upwards) and a Senior section where members age from 18 to over 70s! We have groups for fast runners but we also have free beginners groups and then progressively faster and longer distance groups; The Snayles, Turtles ,Owls and Profiteroles which have a distinctly social and less professional aspect to them. Get in touch through the Facebook page or this site if you might be interested.
DMVAC caters for all abilities and levels of experience, from people experiencing the pleasure of running for the first time or returning from injury or a period of absence from running, all the way up to athletes who are competing at a national level in track and cross-country events.
We compete in various local Junior and Senior leagues and competitions on the track, road and in cross country as well as staging our own Club Handicap competition and organising the Dorking Tens, a renowned 10 mile and a 10K race in early June.
During the summer, DMVAC runs training sessions at our athletics track in Pixham Lane, Dorking and have weekly runs starting on Ranmore Common. During the winter, training sessions are based in Dorking.
We also have an active social calendar, including monthly meals after the Club Handicap and barbecues in the summer after training.
Whatever your level, if you're keen on running in some of the best countryside in the UK and interested in joining us, we'd love to hear from you.
