WEDNESDAY 27th DECEMBER MESSAGE FROM PATRICK MARTIN A CHRISTMAS HOLIDAY SOCIAL RUN FOLLOWED BY REFRESHMENTS IS PLANNED FOR THE WEDNESDAY AFTER CHRISTMAS. THIS IS NEITHER A TRAINING SESSION NOR A RACE BUT AN ALL ABILITIES OFF-ROAD ALL-WEATHER SOCIAL RUN OUT, FOLLOWED BY AN OPTIONAL DRINK Meet outside the Running Horses at Mickleham at 10:50 for an 11am prompt run start. Share lifts where possible and park around Mickleham, or alternatively cycle, walk or run to the venue. It is planned to run for about an hour, followed by a drink perhaps in the King William IV Pub - Byttom Hill, Mickleham, Surrey . ( I will enquire, remembering that last year we were kept outside, a regressive new pub tendency which narked me off!) We will probably go up to Mickleham downs, then down to Leatherhead and back along the valley. About 6-7 miles. An enjoyable hilly and muddy route. Weatherproof shoes and clothing for the conditions for running and for afterward. This is for runners who can complete the course only - Participate at your own risk - No coaching, medical or insurance cover available. ..... or just meet up for the refreshments from 12 noon onwards. WALKERS - There may be a group of walkers who will walk a shorter course and meet us in the pub. Enquiries to Patrick Martin or 01306 – 887262 (home) or 07776 354847 mobile on the day re pub venue ------ Cheers Patrick _________________________________________________________________________________________________ SUNDAY 31st DECEMBER MESSAGE FROM DAVID PHILLIPS This is a social run for different groups and speeds on New Year's Eve - meet at Polesden Lacey carpark at 10:45 for an 11.00am start We will run for about an hour, followed by a gathering for cake and coffee in the cafeteria there (so bring some cash).
