Next MABAC Race and Cranleigh 15/21

To All Club members The second MABAC race of the year will be an 11 A.M. START ON SUNDAY 4TH MARCH 2018 AT PRIORY PARK, REIGATE. This is, I believe, the first time MABAC has held a race at this well-known and much liked cross-country venue. 5 miles and 2 laps. One lap option for juniors, joggers and walkers. During the winter and especially after rain even the grass sections of the course can be slippery (there are as well slopes and woodland hazards). As well as trail shoes, do consider bringing spikes or studs in case they are needed on the day in such conditions. Directions: From Dorking, take the A25 into Reigate and continue round the one-way system until heading West. Take first left into Bancroft Road (as if towards Bell Street and A217 Horley, Gatwick). In Bancroft Road the pay car park is immediately on the right. You might find roadside parking by exploring West Reigate leaving a 10-15-minute walk to the venue. Map link with directions, guidance on parking indicating car park (click link or copy and paste into browser) http://www.mabac.org.uk/directionsAndMaps/Priory%20Park%20directions2.jpg RPAC has sufficient marshals so all at DMVAC who are available, can run! Also: CRANLEIGH 15/21 ROAD RACE 25 MARCH: 9 A.M. START The Cranleigh 15/21 entries are now open with details on the MABAC Website. Do enter as this is the main Event that funds the League and may be an ideal event to train and test you before the Spring Marathons. Can I ask for volunteers to marshal that morning please? This is a personal and club contribution to the overall viability of the MABAC league. Please get in touch if you might be available or have any queries. I will also email some regular volunteers requesting help. Lastly MABAC asks that participants check their results on the website within a day or two of the league races and raise any queries immediately (with me), as some people did after the Windsor race, so they can all be addressed and corrected promptly. Otherwise if queries come in over a longer time, a volunteer (or more than one person) has to review the finish records, recalculate the results and ask these be posted and adjusted on the website, repeatedly. Any queries to patrick-martin@btconnect.com Best wishes Patrick
