The next, the fourth of 2019 MABAC league races, is on Sunday 19th May at Farnham Park, Surrey. This is a rather different, agreeable undulating hilltop parkland course with views over Surrey and café facilities for afterwards. The course can be fast. Is narrow in places so overtaking or resisting same whenever clear.
At Winterfold recently DMVAC had an excellent result. I don’t know that we have had the first four places and five in the first ten in a race in recent memory. Starting the race in 2nd position in the league, winning the day and ending top in the 2019 standings. No room for complacency please! Top of the Table:-
Senior League Table - Event 3
Do join us next time. Let’s see if we can do as well again. Put it in the diary! Take part and you will gain points for your club wherever you finish, plus a time for DMVAC’s own friendly club league table. All abilities welcome, walkers to top club-racers.
How to reach the Farnham Park MABAC
Farnham is some distance. Do allow time. From Guildford, take the A31 towards Farnham. At the Shepherd and Flock Roundabout take the first exit, stay on the A31 Farnham Bypass, through 2 sets of traffic lights to the next roundabout where you turn right (3rd exit) onto West Street. Follow this road back into the town centre, soon turning left off the one way system up Castle Street. After a right bend by the castle keep, the entrance for Farnham Cricket Club, the Golf course and also our car park is on your right. This route avoids most of the one-way system into the town!
POSTCODE GU9 0AU. PLEASE CAR SHARE IF POSSIBLE AS CAR PARKING IS LIMITED. Directions + map https://www.mabac.org.uk/directionsAndMaps/farnham.html
I can offer lifts from Dorking if this helps anyone. Let me know.
