Next MABAC League Race 2018 - Farnham Park: Sunday 20th May 11am start

The next, the third of 2018 MABAC league races, is on Sunday 20th May at Farnham Park, Surrey. We enjoyed the location, course and café facilities afterwards last year.

(At Winterfold on a chilly damp morning recently DMVAC had a reasonable turnout, starting the race in 4th position in the league, winning on the day and ending quite a close second to RR in the 2018 standings.)

Do join us this time. Let’s see if we can do as well again. Put it in the diary!

The Farnham course is two laps undulating round a park- like hilltop setting with views over Surrey. The third MABAC league race of the year. Take part and get, as well as points for your club wherever you finish, a time for DMVAC’s own friendly club league table. All abilities welcome, walkers to top club-racers. The course can be fast.

How to reach the Farnham Park MABAC

From Guildford, take the A31 towards Farnham. At the Shepherd and Flock Roundabout take the first exit, stay on the A31 Farnham Bypass, through 2 sets of traffic lights to the next roundabout where you turn right (3rd exit) onto West Street. Follow this road back into the town centre, soon turning left off the one way system up Castle Street. After a right bend by the castle keep, the entrance for Farnham Cricket Club, the Golf course and also our car park is on your right. This route avoids the one-way system in the town!

I can offer lifts from Dorking if this helps anyone. Let me know.

Entries for the unique MABAC Surrey Slog half-marathon on 22nd July start 10 a.m. are open.
