Don't forget the Sunglasses - it's Parly Hill on this Saturday for the English XC Champs -
Dear All,
Already we are just two days away from the National XC Championships at Parliament Hill, so start sharpening the long spikes and grab the shades in readiness….yes, honestly, bright sunshine is predicted per the Met Office, although suggest you ignore the “feels like” temperature!
Please find attached the final details and information received from the organisers re travel arrangements, timetable + map of courses. Click here

Our usual transport arrangements per Dave Stead:
TRAVEL - Most people prefer to go by train to Waterloo, then tube to Kentish Town (Northern Line - High Barnet or Mill Hill Branch). Turn right and bear left up Highgate Road, left at traffic lights (Gordon House Road) and right at Lido. Alternatively tube to Belsize Park (Edgeware Branch). Both about 15 minutes walk. If driving be aware that parking is difficult. It is possible to park at Richmond and take train to Gospel Oak.
Map of Area:

Per the TfL website, quickest route seems to be overground to Waterloo, and then Northern Line to Kentish Town.
If probs with South Western, suggest via Southern to Victoria, Victoria Line to Euston, and then Northern Line to Kentish Town
For the men:
Dorking Main -> Lhd -> Waterloo-> Kentish Town Underground

1204 1211 1256 1311 Recommended.
1234 1241 1325 1340
1304 1311 1355 1410 – this might be tight!
I will be aiming to take the 1211hrs from Leatherhead and will be in the 2nd carriage from the front if you would like to join me
Note: the Ladies are catching the 1005hrs from Dorking with breakfast/ coffee booked en route; so please feel free to contact Lou directly if you wish take the more civilised approach!
Note that it would be good if we could be there with plenty of time to spare, as WILL be mega busy, but more importantly to support our Ladies Team!!! The DMVAC Pole will be positioned close to the start, hopefully this time with a banner attached….so let’s meet there.
Hope this helps, but call if any problems.
Let’s all enjoy and run well!
Best regards
David
