The club's annual festive run and Christmas supper will be held next Thursday 14th December starting at 7:00pm
THE RUN - You are invited to wear your best festive costumes and to meet at the clubhouse at 7:00pm prior to running around the centre of Dorking and greeting the local population with your cheerful seasonal repartee!
SECRET SANTA - You are also invited to take part in a "Secret Santa" so if you bring along a small wrapped gift (not more than £5) to put in the sack before you go out running, then you will be able to select a gift (hopefully not your own) on your return to the clubhouse.
FESTIVE SUPPER - Elizabeth Horner will be providing her usual excellent supper, so if you are planning to come then please let her have your menu choice by midday next Tuesday 12th December - Please reply direct to Elizabeth at firstname.lastname@example.org

MARATHON DRAW - Following the supper there will be a draw for the confirmed places in the London and Brighton Marathons. If you want to be included in the draw then you will need to send an email to Stuart Prentice (email@example.com) by midnight on Saturday 9th December including the following:-
(a) Which marathon (or both) you wish to enter the draw for
(b) Your UK Athletics licence number
(c) Applicants for the London marathon places to include the rejection email from the main ballot.
The rules to enter these draws are as follows:
- Applicant must have been a first claim member of the club since at least December 2016.
- Applicant must NOT have received a club marathon place in the 2016 or 2017 races.
- Applicants for the London Marathon draw must have unsuccessfully entered the main ballot for London Marathon places.
(Please note there is no equivalent requirement for the Brighton Marathon draw.)
- Applicant must hold a current UK Athletics licence.
Note that successful applicants will still have to pay the marathon organisers for their place.
MABAC PRESENTATION - Following on next will be the presentation of the trophies for the men's and women's Mabac League. The first three men and women will also receive a medal, so if you are in the top three then please come along.
CLUB PERSON OF THE YEAR - The final award of the evening is for the club's Person of the Year for 2017. If you haven't already voted then it's not too late. Send your votes to Brian James (firstname.lastname@example.org) by midnight on Monday 11th Dec. Please note that the last three winners, Brian James, David Moore and Louise Ionascu are not eligible for the award.
