Bruce's Briefing: Saturday's Surrey League XC

Just a quick note of thanks for Saturday..

For those that haven't seen the results, they are now provisionally posted on the Surrey League website at the below link, please let me know if you notice anything in there that needs correcting:

There were some sterling efforts out there and it was great to see three of our men inside the first five positions, so congrats to George, Mike and Charlie.

Special praise also needs to go to Fraser, who was competing only a couple of weeks after a very nasty bike crash and still battled through to score ninth for the team.

The DMVAC A team were runners up to Woking and have consolidated our position in the second promotion position extending the gap to W4 Harriers in third.

DMVAC didn't quite manage to fill a complete B team with just seven runners which meant that we were fifth on the day.  Despite this we retain our overall lead in the league and if we get a full team out for the final fixture in February, I expect we will be able to take the title.

The current standings for the two leagues are shown below and I hope to see as many of you as possible for the final race at Lloyd Park in Croydon on 9th February.

Thanks

Bruce
